Sarah Hou, MPA
Vice President
Sarah joined MMP Associates in 2014, lending her expertise in evaluation research methods and her analytical and writing skills to the team. Over the last ten years, she has worked with hundreds of clients supporting their interest in gathering data to inform their management, governance, and strategic planning goals. This includes collecting and synthesizing data about the organization’s internal capacity and external environment to aid in the strategic planning process. She also oversees our monitoring and evaluation services, including performance evaluations, board self-assessment reports, and community feedback surveys.
Prior to joining MMP Associates, Sarah managed several large-scale institutional development projects at multiple United Nations agencies, including supporting the implementation of UNDP’s knowledge management platform and rolling out an internal financial accountability tool for gender equality. She has authored numerous public reports including UNFPA’s 10th Anniversary Campaign to End Fistula paper. Her lifelong passion has been finding ways to best support the community around her, including working on issues related to the environment, education, poverty, gender equality, and refugee affairs.
Sarah holds a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affair, specializing in human rights policy and management. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Smith College. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association.
